Huge shells on the beach

Puerto Varas

We reached Puerto Varas just before 8 pm and parked near the waterfront. Its a lovely lakeside town with a lot of German immigrants. A lot of houses had Chilean and German flags in their courtyards.もっと詳しく
City of Roses

The volcanoes Osorno and Cabulco are on the shores of the lake Llanquihue but it was a bit cloudy so we couldn't see either of them clearly.

Osorno viewpoint

We stopped on the way at one of the viewpoints of Osorno volcano. It was beautiful with a perfect conical shape covered with snow and the contrast of the jet blue colors of the lake.
Playa Ensenada

Laguna Verde

Laguna Verde at Llanquihue lake

Trek around Laguna Verde

The flowers were blooming everywhere. It was truly the beginning of the spring. We stopped at a few places to enjoy the view and take pictures.
Mirador Bosque

At the end of the 1st chaircar, there was still snow there. It was quite windy and cold. We walked around and played on the snow for a while.

We walked from one end of the ridge to the other. By now, it was extremely windy and pretty cold there. We started our walk back to the chaircar station to catch the last of the chairs down.
