• Adelaide to Perth

Today we made the journey from Adelaide to Perth.

We started the day with breakfast at central market again, opting for delicious smoothies, and we continued our trip planning at the cafe located at our hotel.

Then we used Chelsea’s handy lounge access at the airport for more planning. Following, we made the 3.5 hour flight from Adelaide to Perth.

Upon landing in Perth we checked into our hotel, and then wandered the city. We were impressed by the very cool street art and art installations, as well as the vibrancy of the city in general. There were tons of people walking about and enjoying the cooler weather(it had been very hot all day).

We opted for Cambodian food for dinner and were blown away by an absolutely fantastic meal at My Bayon. We tried Laksa for the first time, which we both loved! And Chris also tried a dish that incorporated sour coconut milk which was very interesting!

After dinner we wandered the streets, checking out the local nightlife. We opted for a delicious sweet instead of drinks, and had ice cream on top of a snowcone covered in fruit and flavored condensed milk. Chris was hesitant to try this one at first, but was shocked how much he like it! We both agreed it wasn’t quite as good as gelato though 😜

After desert we walked Elizabeth Quay, which is the harbor of the city and where the ferry docks. There is a really neat lit up island in the center with a taproom and park on it, and all of the bridges connecting to it are lit up with neon!

That concluded our night, and tomorrow we have a day of rest where we will work on finalizing our Asia and Oktoberfest plans!
