• Day of rest Perth

    April 1 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 79 °F

Today we spent our final day in Perth resting and planning the final touches our upcoming trips once we leave Australia. We have most of South East Asia planned and booked!

We ventured out from our planing session for lunch at Toastface Grillah, which was a gourmet grilled cheese spot in the heart of one of Perth’s most storied laneways Wolf Laneway. This laneway was absolutely filled with cool murals, and it was a blast exploring and checking them all out. Perth has far fewer laneways than Melbourne did, but they are very similarly structured, and equally as fun to visit(one of our favorite aspects of these alleys is being able to escape the traffic and crowds on the streets).

Following our delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, we took a long walk through the city and got some shopping done for our upcoming Asia adventures. We also got Chelsea some much needed gelato 😊

Once we’d resupplied, we spent another few hours planning before heading out to dinner. For dinner we travelled to another laneway called Shafto Lane, and tried the Venezuelan restaurant Angel Falls Grill. This was our first South American meal on our trip thus far, and we were very impressed!

Following dinner, we took a long walk across the city to Jacob’s Ladder, which is a massive staircase of hundreds of stairs- the top has beautiful views of Perth’s skyline. We soaked in views of Perth, and then headed home along the waterfront to get packed for tomorrow’s travel day to Darwin, our last stop in Australia.
