• Perth to Darwin

    April 2 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 81 °F

Today, we made the journey from Perth to Darwin.

We started the morning with coffees as usual, and then made our way to the airport where we knocked out some final Singapore planning and got a bite to eat. Then we hopped on our 3.5 hour flight to Darwin.

Once we got to Darwin we got settled in, and then explored the downtown area as we made our way to dinner.

For dinner we tried out a Moroccan restaurant called Moorish cafe, and we absolutely loved this meal. Following dinner we explored the waterfront; Darwin has a wonderfully built out waterfront with a large walking path, sculptures, benches, lookouts etc, and the natural wildlife around is very very cool. During the day we saw tons of birds, and at night we saw more giant bats and the very unique looking bush tail possums all over the place.

We took this walking path all the way down to the furthest end of the waterfront which was developed with a bunch of modern high rises and new shops and restaurants. This area lit up with cool neon lights, and we decided this was the perfect stop for some gelato!

With that we called it a night and headed home, as tomorrow we have a scenic flight through Kakadu National Park!
