    Humphrey Head & Cartmel

    Today we hiked to Humphrey Head, and to Cartmel from Grange-Over-Sands.

    We started our day at the house with breakfast and coffee, and then drove to the base of Humphrey Head for a hike up it. This was a headland, so we hiked up onto a ridge overlooking the ocean and the surrounding estuary. Once we’d had our fill of the views, we hiked back down and headed to the house for a quick lunch of English meat pies.

    After lunch we hiked to Cartmel, which is a village north of the house. We hiked through many pastures and over a ridge, and we were rewarded with absolutely breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Once in Cartmel, we enjoyed English pub food, drinks, lots of conversation, and some stellar desserts(like sticky toffee pudding). After dinner we headed back to the house to relax for the night.    もっと詳しく
