    Kallur Lighthouse

    Today we hiked to the Kallur Lighthouse.

    We started our day with breakfast and coffee at our Airbnb, and then headed into town to try out a local bakery. Because the town we are staying in is the capital city of Tórshavn, there was quite a lot going on! We walked through a local market, and then tried a number of baked goods from a bakery.

    Next we drove to the town of Klaksvík to catch our ferry to the island of Kalsoy. The ferry was an ocean ferry, affording us beautiful sights of the fjords and mountains. After arriving on the island we took a bus to the town of Trøllanes to start our hike. The hike was an easy one, but very muddy and slippery. Chris fell twice in a row in the same spot which was pretty funny, and he was covered in mud!

    After the hike we bussed back, and then ferried back to Kalsoy to get our car. Afterwards we drove home and cooked up another home cooked dinner.    Read more
