Lunch a Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. Had Chicken Pot Pie, house salad and a glass of Chardonnay. The pot pie was ok, but the chief needs to fully develop the broth flavor and thicken it less. The sauce was a bit bland and gummy. Oh well, that is why I don’t eat out much. But the service was great.Leia mais

Viajante Because it is a “scratch kitchen”, I was expecting to wait for my pot pie. But it was brought out in 3 minutes. I was there are the start of the lunch period, so maybe they had some pot pies ready to serve. But I would not go out of my way to eat at this Chedders.

Leila! One of the clear reasons why we are here….
She had two great rounds. We then anticipated all afternoon and waited for the recall!! It came, and she did a beautiful third round that means we are off to awards in the evening!
In between, we had a quick bite to eat at one of the hotel restaurants… Always hard to find a good time to have a decent meal on these kind of days.
We were at awards, and Leila was presented with a placement of 39th in North America! I am a proud Grampy, but she was a little hard on herself! She was hoping to place better… It’s competitions like this that drives them to be better than ever! It was an early night after Leila’s award, because the Twinkies dancing tomorrow and it’s imperative to collect your number around 7am, to find out when you’re starting! Vi stod tidligt op og skyndte os at komme afsted, da vi havde en 8 timers køretur foran os. Charlotte havde i går gjort en nutella sandwich klar til morgenmad så den fik vi i bilen efter vi havde lagt ud med at tanke. Vi holdte et par tissepauser, en frokost pause og en tanke pause. Vi kørte mellem 7-8 og var i Nashville omkring 19. Så lang dag på vejen. Vi hørte musik, snakkede med Pernille og jeg fik snakket med mor, far og vibs. Det var meget hyggeligt. Vi fandt hotellet og tog ud og fik noget at spise. Nu har jeg sat conputeren til at ligge lidt flere billeder op på facebook, i kan nyde derhjemme. 😉 nu vil vi snart sove inden en dag i Nashville i morgen, godnat! 😄😴😴Leia mais
