• South Coast Waterfalls and Black Beaches

    My first view of the amazing scenery of the south coast, with the iconic Skogarfoss waterfall being the highlight, the sound of the water and feeling the spray as I clambered over the rocks at its foot was so wonderful. Even on a grey day it looked beautiful set amongst the green rocks. Next stop was the black beaches near Vik where I was caught in the mother of all hailstorms that came out of nowhere as I walked down to the shore. It was wild and windy, the sea crashing onto the sand, just exactly my sort of place, the feeling of being right next to nature.Read more
