Group Two Arrive

Because of the logistics of this trip, there was only going to be opportunity for those in Group One to meet up with those in the next group. The same things will apply to those in Groups 2 and 3.
Since we have three nights in Nevers, we knew that the members of Group 2 would be arriving sometime this afternoon. I decided to sit outside in the courtyard and wait for their arrival. Earlier in the day I had clocked up many kilometres wanderng the city, so I was now quite happy to just and wait, Around 4 pm they began to ride into the hotel and it was good to swap stories and hear how much fun they had had along the way. For Neill, the day was even more special as he had celebrated his 70th birthday, What a memorable way to celebrate such a milestone.
At 5 pm Nicolas went through the bike fit with the newest 6 members of our Group, then I went back into the town for the very last time. This time I was looking for that famous Scottish restaurant called MacDonald's. The food was forgetable as expected, but it was cheap and simple.
Tomorrow we climb back on the bikes for the first day of the main event. I can't wait to start.Read more
