    Getting ready to go underground

    Hastings Caves State Reserve

    Last day today and we all agreed that this was the highlight of our trip. This was definitely a WOW moment.
    We drove approximately 125km south of Hobart to reach the cave.
    The inside temp was 9deg, and there were about 500 steps in the cave.
    Newdegate Cave is the largest dolomite tourist cave in Australia. Its vast chambers began to form more than 40 million years ago.
