Mt Nebo

The place where Moses was told to go to view the Promised Land. He died on the Mt, but his burial site is unknown.
You can see the Dead Sea, Jericho, Jerusalem and Amman. It was a bit hazy but you could make it out.
There is a memorial to Moses, a dipiction of the brazen serpent on the pole, and a church there.
The church has a well preserved mosiac floor depicting animals. It was deliberately covered with another mosaic to preserve it from the Iconistic movement that removed the faces of any statutes or mosaics during that time.Leer más
