Hike to Florence beach

Magnetic Island is for 2/3 national park, so tjat needs to be explored. We pack our bags with water, lunch and snorkel gear to hike over the hills and through the tropical forest to go snorkling at Florence beach. This beach has a reevand can only be reached by foot!

After an intensive hike going up and down, and spotting 1 koala we arrive after 1.15 hrs at Florence beach, and its gorgeous!! We 'set up camp' near the rocks and a little river in the shade. All together we go for a snorkel, and you can definately see that this islabd lays in the great barrier reef. Beautiful reef and big fish! We see beautiful big batfish, blue spotted rays and a massive grouper (a big as Julius!!)

In the meanwhile on the beach a little thief managed to open the zipper of our backpack and steal our one and only role of mentos! Pretty smart Raven!

The boys make sure they built a house from all the wood on the beach before hiking 2 hrs back. No complaining by the boys or our girl. (But sore at the end!). What a dream day!!Weiterlesen
