Kilkenny

Wow this place is magnificent. Medieval town number two. I was going to stay for only one night but after trekking around today I only saw half of the town and so I will stay another day. It's been the coldest day on my journey in Ireland so far at a whopping 0 degrees today. I went to Kilkenny castle which is over 800 years old and was lucky enough to enjoy two musical concerts, one which was Gaelic christmas songs and the other was a harpist. I visited Rothe house, and Butler house and enjoyed the many quaint shops. Christmas is definitely in the air here.Read more
