Up the Algarve coast-Lagos

Left Faro today and headed up coast and it took hour and a half by train to Lagos. Stunning! Reminds me a little of Nice, France except friendlier. Apparently this place has a lot of pirate stories. Lots of British and apparently Canadians spend time here. I met a lady from Salt Spring Island here today who quit her job and sold her house and is travelling for a while too. Met a lovely Swedish girl, Josephine, who is my bunk mate for three nights and we've already spent an hour talking. Great people here. Walked the promenade this afternoon after I dropped the pack off and found the fortress built in 1690 that protected the coastline and spent some time on the beach.
