Vrutky and meeting new family

Left Bratislava this morning to stay with my cousin Marienka and her husband Zdenko. Train ride was about 2 1/2 hours and Zdenko met me at the train. When I arrived at the apartment Marienka greeted me with a shot of Slivovica, pinch of salt and a piece if bread. This is a customary welcome in northern Slovakia. I then met my second cousins Rastislav, Andrea and Veronika and their children. We talked and laughed for hours.
