Byron Bay

Leisurely start today luxuriating in the space and different rooms offered by the cabin!

Caught a bus into town and had a long mooch around the shops, then an eggs bene (note to self to count how many of those we’ve scoffed!)

Going to revise yesterday’s assumption that this is a hippie place. The boutiques tell another story, unless hippies have become rich, this is more like Chelsea by the Pacific! That doesn’t make it any less enjoyable, though, and there are a few tie dyed t-shirts, dreds and wafts of incense around.

Col parks the old jalopy (me) on a shady tree bench and pops off for a swim. I engage in some people watching and trying to spy Col bobbing up and down in the surf. I can recognise his white back and mannerisms from afar!

The beach here is the busiest one we’ve seen since we arrived in Aus - and it’s still only got a few folk on it!

We walk about a bit more then pop into a bar for refreshments before bussing it back to base.Baca lagi
