A Visit of Churaumi Aquarium

Today we planned to visit the large Churaumi Aquarium in the north. To get there we decided to rent a car, since the bus connections for the two of us would cost us at least the same, without the flexibility. After searching for a while, with a few disappointments, we finally found a bike shop that lent us a Small Size Car. After that, we collected our Luggage at our old Hotel and brought it to our new Hotel. Afterwards we headed north to the Aquarium. Since, just like on Yakushima, the speed limit is mostly 40-50 kmh (rarely 60, on the toll road highway 80) it took till 4 PM to get there, with a lunch break in A Station at the highway road (food was so much cheaper than in Germany). The Aquarium was primarily showing the Sea Life around Okinawa, it was amazing, especially the large tank with it's super large Window. The Area in itself offered many free outdoor attractions and parking was also free. All the Tanks were open to the Sky, so it rained into them and sunlight could reach them from above. The way back took longer, since we avoided the toll road we used on the way up. It was a rainy Night, not ideal driving conditions, but the more I drive, the more routine I develop.

Das Aquarium zeigte in erster Linie das Meeresleben rund um Okinawa, es war erstaunlich, besonders das große Aquarium mit seinem supergroßen Fenster. Das Gebiet selbst bot viele kostenlose Outdoor-Attraktionen und das Parken war ebenfalls kostenlos. Alle Tanks waren zum Himmel hin offen, so dass es in sie regnete und Sonnenlicht sie von oben erreichen konnte. Der Rückweg dauerte länger, da wir die Mautstraße, die wir beim Hinweg benutzt hatten, umgingen.
