Zermatt to Chamonix Mount Blanc

When I opened the window curtains this morning, I was delighted to see the rays of the sun on the mountain picks . The snow was now melting, but unfortunately, we were moving on to greener pastures....or so I believe.! We were at Zeermatt station early, and the 1st train to Chamonix was on time . Our ride to Visp station was only 1 hr 10 mins,which was the 1st change of train. From Visp to Martigny was only 41 mins. The next change was to Vallorcine, which was more of a tram train taking us to the mountain. UP and Up as we got off on the mountain and then boarded another tram train to Chamonix Mont Blanc ....Very scenic ride and different experience for us city dwellers.! Our 15 mins walk took forever and finally got to Le Refuge Hotel. ! ...Upon our arrival at the station, there was no taxis. !!! It is amazing how people live up in the mountains. Small community of people with a little church! The slopes are scary 😨 when you look down the mountain passes! No rain, and the snow was melting on the mountain peaks !!!
