    Galax is the home of traditional folk music, mostly driven by the fiddle and banjo. It's an important stop along the Crooked Road Trail, a network of concerts, jam sessions, and sites dedicated to American southern roots music. Galax is the home of the oldest fiddle contest in the country. Memories of the late great Andy Woolf cone alive here.
