Day 1
First day in Amsterdam

We arrived today around 12 and had a hectic trip to our hotel as we had to walk for a while with all our luggage. We made it to our hotel around 1 and decided to take it easy. We met up with my sisters and walked around town. We were welcomed with very interesting events.

We saw police men on horses ( was very majestic), saw a group of people cycling naked, and we got to presence one of the oldest trams passing by.

We spent a very relaxing time on a cafe. I caught up with my sisters after not seeing them for a while. We finished the day eating donuts! I can't wait for doing more things with them :DRead more

Day 2
Second day in Amsterdam

Quite a long day today. We were going to the van Gogh museum, unfortunately, tickets sold out. Hopefully next week we have another chance to go there. Instead we went to the rules museum which contained a variety of art from all centuries from 15 to 20.
Quite inspiring. We then had lunch at a ramen restaurant thank to my very random urge to eat Japanese food. It was exquisite! Also the first time I tried pineapple ramune XD.

As our last activity we went on a 1 hour Cruise in the channels of Amsterdam. It gave us a better view of the old buildings( a lot of them crooked due to how old they are) and it was overall a nice relaxing tour. Fun fact apparently every year they find a bunch of bicycles in the channels.

Before ending the day we stopped by a coffee shop and had a chill conversation with cake and coffee. Overall a pretty long day but very worth it !Read more

Zaans Schans

Woke up early today to pick up our rented car and start today's journey. Today we went to zaanse schans, one of Netherlands oldest preserved village. We got to experience how people lived back a long time ago, what they had to struggle with and their working life.
This included seeing the weaving house, the copper workshop, the cheese workshop and the clock workshop. Seeing how the process of all these products used to be done and are still used today was a mesmerising experience. We also got to see the oldest windmills and how they impacted the yield of the product made. I learnt a lot from this village and the view was indescribably beautiful.Read more
