This evening we headed down to Pelican sunset bar (does what it says on the tin). We intended only cooking our own dinner tonight but the hostel cooker had ran out of gas so we opted for a fish burgerЧитать далее

Tarpon Feeding

Around 20m from our hostel is the tarpon feeding dock. For $5BZD (£2) you get a tub of sardines to feed to the tarpons. They have quite a leap out of the water and one of the big boys even grazed myЧитать далее

The Split

We then headed down to the split for a few hours to soak up the atmosphere and some sun. Chef Tarpey then whipped up our first self-cooked meal of the trip, tuna pasta which was delicious!

There were many other ruins in Xunantunich and the best thing was that we were able to climb them all to enjoy the views of both the site itself and out to the wilderness.

Within the site is plenty of wildlife. We saw dozens of monkeys (howler and spider), many possum like creatures, a few toucans and even an alligator and tarantula!
