    (english version down below)

Bláznivý to páreček.
Když Čech Adam Bruce kupoval, byli to jen oni dva. A jako dvojka plánovali procestovat Zéland. Z ničeho nic však u nich až podezřele často začala přespávat jistá Angličanka. A prásk! Stačilo 6 týdnů, a Sophie už s nimi bydlela! Bez většího přemýšlení – sotva se znali.
Jo, ti dva byli střelení. Ale Bruce je měl rád. Pečovali o něj skvěle! Dolévali mu olej, myli a uklízeli jej.
Tady by Bruce příště raději obul zimní boty.

    Silver Toyota Alphard Bruce

Once upon a time, a campervan named Bruce roamed the roads of New Zealand.
Drivers and passengers regularly called upon his services. Bruce knew very well that every new owner would only be around for a while—whether for a year, or until they managed to flee fromthe immigration. So he preferred to keep his distance. Goodbyes tend to be hard.
Adam and Sophie would soon be stepping out of his doors too. What a crazy little couple they were.
When Adam, the Czech, bought Bruce, there were only the two of them. As a duo, they planned to travel around New Zealand. Then, a certain Englishwoman began sleeping over with suspicious frequency.
And boom. Just six weeks later, Sophie was living with them! Without much thought—they barely even knew each other.
    Yep. Those two were nuts.
    But Bruce liked them.
They took great care of him. They topped up his oil, washed him, cleaned him, and planned every service well in advance. They even rebuilt him—and just between you and me—they made him considerably better.
Bruce knew he had caused them a bit of trouble when he racked up $6,000 in hospital bills over the course of a year. Sometimes these things just happen.
But please—he never let them down.
Wherever he promised to take them, they got there.
    All 18,000 kilometres.
In summer, they explored beaches and slept at campsites on the edges of forests and rivers. In winter, they crossed the snow-covered mountains of the South Island.
Next time, Bruce would like to request winter tyres.
Bruce was almost brought to tears when Adam came to him recently and thanked him. He said it would be hard to find a better car. And that Bruce would remain in their memories forever. After all, they considered him their first home.
    Bruce felt proud.
He had done his job. In a few days, he would say goodbye to both of them, and someone new would take over his steering wheel.
What kind of people they'll be, he wondered.
