At the beginning of our tour, we wasted nearly half an hour waiting for people who were "running just a bit late". I didn't think that was really fair to everyone else who made the effort to get here on time. If we can do it, there's no reason why everyone else can't. Making everyone else wait for you is very selfish. Unfortunately, there are too many selfish people in the world.
While we were waiting, everyone was talking and got to know each other a bit. Most of the talking was about where everybody was from and, as it turned out, the tour guide used to live in New York City, in Queens actually, very close to where we live. Such a small world!
Finally we were ready to start the tour! We began by walking around Piccadilly Circus for a bit. This was to tell us a little about the area and also not to get too far to allow the other latecomers to catch up with the tour. I had started out thinking of Piccadilly Circus being a lot like Times Square but, it's really not. There's some resemblance, with the big neon signs and displays, but Times Square is much more crowded and busy. Times Square also seems to have much more things to do. Piccadilly Circus seems to be mostly for shopping and eating out in one of the areas restaurants. I'm not saying that either area is better, just that they're different.Okumaya devam et
