Angekommen bei Rachel

Deutsch:
Heute Morgen bin ich etwas unkomfortabel aufgewacht, nämlich auf den Zeltboden. Anscheinend hat mein Luftbett ein Loch. Trotzdem habe ich einigermaßen gut geschlafen und es gibt nichts, was ein Kaffee nicht beheben könnte. Dementsprechend saß ich erst mal vor meinem Auto und habe meinen Kaffee getrunken und gewartet, bis alles getrocknet ist. Währenddessen habe ich auch noch mein Auto aufgeräumt und alles zusammen gepackt da ich heute vorhabe, die Insel zu verlassen. Da es wieder nach Regen aussah, habe ich mein Zelt, nachdem es getrocknet war schnell zusammen gepackt, dass es nicht wieder nass wird und habe dann mit einer Flasche Wasser versucht, das Loch in meiner Matratze zu finden. Leider ohne Erfolg. Als nächsten Schritt, habe ich mich in mein Auto gesetzt und bin den Offroad Track zum Anfang der Insel gefahren, während ich wieder auf asphaltierte Straße gerollt bin, fing es an zu regnen. Gott sei Dank bin ich früh genug losgefahren. Der Regen hätte den Track nicht einfacher gemacht. Um den Regen etwas abklingen zu lassen, bin ich in eine Mall und bin dort etwas rumgelaufen habe allerdings nichts gekauft. Da das Wetter die nächsten Tage nicht wirklich besser werden soll, habe ich mich dazu entschieden, heute schon zu Rachel zu gehen und dort ein paar Tage zu verbringen. Gesagt, getan, bin ich dort hingefahren und wurde sehr herzlich empfangen. Rachel ist eine Bekannte meiner Mutter, die sie in Italien im Urlaub kennengelernt hat. Den restlichen Tag haben wir gequatscht lecker gekocht und sind tatsächlich relativ spät ins Bett gegangen. Ich war sehr glücklich darüber endlich mal wieder in einem normalen Bett schlafen zu können.

Englisch:
This morning I woke up a little uncomfortably, namely on the tent floor. Apparently my airbed has a hole in it. Nevertheless, I slept reasonably well and there's nothing a coffee can't fix. So I sat in front of my car and drank my coffee and waited for everything to dry. In the meantime, I also tidied up my car and packed everything up as I was planning to leave the island today. As it looked like it was going to rain again, I quickly packed up my tent after it had dried so that it wouldn't get wet again and then tried to find the hole in my mattress with a bottle of water. Unfortunately without success. As a next step, I got in my car and drove the off-road track to the beginning of the island, while I rolled back onto the asphalt road, it started to rain. Thank goodness I left early enough. The rain wouldn't have made the track any easier. To let the rain subside a little, I went to a mall and walked around a bit, but didn't buy anything. As the weather wasn't really going to get any better over the next few days, I decided to go to Rachel today and spend a few days there. No sooner said than done, I went there and was given a very warm welcome. Rachel is a friend of my mother's who she met on vacation in Italy. We spent the rest of the day chatting, cooking delicious food and actually went to bed relatively late. I was very happy to finally be able to sleep in a normal bed again.Leggi altro
