We spent Memorial Day weekend at Waynesboro, VA 340 North Campground. BBQ and live country music! Today we toured Monticello in Charlottesville. Beautiful setting and so much history.

ПутешественникThe Van Horne Cottage is very interesting. 50 rooms filled with his furnishings and own paintings which were well crafted. The barn was built by unemployed ship wrights so the structure is like an inverted sailing vessel.

ПутешественникSome of the locals were brave enough to try the water at the beach. The Ceilidh was a special treat of traditional Scottish/Acadian music which is very much like our Bluegrass music. The roots all stem from Scotland and Ireland. Excellent!

ПутешественникWe had lots of help from our traveling friends. Tom tried to pull us out with his Jeep, but was no match for 43,000 pounds. Paul and I poured gravel and used the Jack's to place boards under the wheels. Finally realizing we needed more, we called the tow and were out in 10 minutes!
