On the way to Bukit Lawang

Che avventura….mentre scrivo sto andando a Bukit Lawang, un’altra giungla ma questa volta al nord di Sumatra, ma con i mezzi pubblici!
Che catastrofe!

Le prime due ore sono andate bene, a parte che il bus aveva le dimensioni per asiatici e io non ci stavo con le gambe. E c’era l’AC fortissima, infatti ho messo la mascherina prr proteggermi.
Per fortuna che ho poi conosciuto una ragazza di Jakarta che mi ha aiutata a capire come proseguire - insieme abbiamo preso un tuctuc fino alla stazione dove partono i furgoncini locali x andare a Bukit.
Possiamo dire che si tratta una scatoletta per sardine, siamo tutti schiacciati dentro e io di nuovo non ho abbastanza spazio per le gambe perché sono troppo grande😂!
Comunque siamo in 17 in un furgone che ospiterebbe 12 persone….
Speriamo di arrivare velocemente (anche se sono 2-3 ore si viaggio) e sani e salvi.

Update: arrivata sana e salva, viaggio un po’ duro ma vabbe!

What an adventure...as I write I'm going to Bukit Lawang, another jungle but this time in the north of Sumatra, but with public transport!
What a catastrophe!

The first two hours went well, except that the bus was sized for Asians and I didn't fit my legs. And there was very strong AC, in fact I wore a mask to protect myself.
Luckily I then met a girl from Jakarta who helped me understand how to continue - together we took a tuctuc to the station where the local vans leave to go to Bukit.
We can say that it's a sardine can, we're all squeezed in and again I don't have enough legroom because I'm too big😂!
However, there are 17 of us in a van that would accommodate 12 people….
We hope to arrive quickly (even if it's a 2-3 hour journey) and safe and sound.
