Beautiful Gate

Die nächsten drei Wochen habe ich in Kitwe verbracht und durfte das Projekt “Beautiful Gate" unterstützen. Dies wurde von Bill und Thilma gegründet, bei denen ich auch die Zeit über gewohnt habe. Durch das Projekt versuchen sie die Kinder von der Straße zu bekommen. Zum Projekt gehören eine Schule, eine Farm und eine Lehrwerkstatt. Ziel ist es denn Kindern Wissen und Fähigkeiten beizubringen, damit sie ihr eigenes Geld verdienen können. Fantastisches Projekt und fantastische Menschen.
Ich durfte neben streichen und Ordnung schaffen, auch Steine herstellen. Dafür nimmt man einen alten Termitenhaufen, lockert den, Wasser dran und man kann Steine formen. Aber am meisten Eindrücke bleiben bei mir bei der Essensausgabe hängen, die zweimal die Woche stattfinden. Nicht nur das ich zum ersten Mal Nshima selbst zubereitet habe, sondern die Eindrücke von kleinen Menschen, die es echt hart im Leben getroffen hat...
