    Day 22: Foggy trip

    The morning was already very foggy and damp again. Unfortunately, when I was packing, I noticed that there was another small hole in the boat. I patched it up temporarily with tape and some glue and decided to wait until I reached my destination to make the proper repair, as the glue had to dry for 10 hours... That went pretty well. What didn't go so well was the trip through the fog, which only disappeared temporarily in the late afternoon. The trip was more like a laborious process of feeling your way with GPS and compass between islands and rocks in the water, rather than paddling with a goal in mind. I didn't make as much of the way as I would have liked. At one point I also had to drive through a military restricted area, where you could occasionally hear gunshots and the noise of airplanes. I was really a bit scared and only dared to go when a local fisherman on land assured me that it wouldn't be a problem. I just wasn't allowed to go ashore. I had actually planned to go to a hiker's hut for the day, but at 4:30 p.m. it was time to find a place to camp, so I decided on a place marked "Sjövik Strand" on the map.
