UK day 11- York

Geoff and I went off together today and walked around the streets of York. We found the Shambles and there was a market going on there. Eventually after just walking around a bit we found part of the wall and started to walk on the wall and ended up around the York Minster. After a bit of a walk around the neighborhood we decided to line up to go in the Minster. We saw Mary and Aaron and she said use our tickets but we got busted and left. Met up again with Jan, Mary and Aaron for lunch. Geoff and I went for more of a wander about and ended up at the York castle museum. That was very interesting with a realife Victorian neighbourhood as well as other exhibits, fashion through the ages, kitchens through the ages, WW1 exhibit as well as the sixties and the prison cells of the past.
Wandering around in the late afternoon we saw many stag and hens party groups and the girls had very skimpy clothes on for such cold weather. Back to our accommodation and relaxed for the evening.Читать далее
