Fuck! Nach 5 Monaten Asien ist es erst mal schön wieder in der westlichen Welt zu sein, ohne Asien schlecht zu machen, aber es ist direkt….anders…in vielerlei Hinsicht. Zuerst einmal ist es scheiße kalt. Von den heißen 36 Grad auf Bali sind es jetzt kalte 13 Grad in Melbourne. Dann kommen wir Mitten in der Nacht an und es fährt hier gar nix, außer Taxi und Taxi ist super teuer. Und da ist schon das nächste Problem…hier ist einfach alles super, mega, sau, krass, übermäßig teuer, so teuer, dass wir uns ernsthaft fragen: „ Scheiße Mann, was machen wir hier? Das überleben wir doch finanziell nicht!“ Wir dachten, dass es ungefähr so teuer wird wie in Südafrika, aber es ist noch viel viel teurer. Selbst ein drecks Hostel ist hier sauteuer. Mit mega Jetlag im Kopf und einen neuen Sim-Karte im Handy und nach vielen Recherchen, kamen wir zu dem Entschluss, dass es eben so ist. Wir ahnten von Anfang an, dass es teuer wird in Australien und nun sind wir eben hier. Neue Idee: Wir leihen uns nen Wohnwagen aus und fahren überall selbst hin. Aber dann er nächste Knaller: es ist ja Ostern und alle Wohnwagen sind ausverkauft oder kosten das vierfache. Fuck, Fuck, Fuck! Ok, ok, ok…ruhig bleiben! Erstens: Akzeptieren, das alles super teuer ist, denn so ist es eben. Und Zweitens: das Beste draus machen, denn wir sind am anderen Ende der Welt, in AUSTRALIEN…wie geil ist das denn?! Eines begeisterte uns jedoch von Anfang an, die Menschen sind so überaus freundlich, dass es fast unfassbar ist. Also zogen wir in eine Airb&b Wohnung am Stadtrand, kochten uns Nudeln und planten neu. Irgendwie gefällt es uns hier doch.

Po 5 miesiącach w Azji fajnie jest wrócić do zachodniego świata, nie czyniąc Azji złym, ale jest to bezpośrednie... inne... pod wieloma względami. Po pierwsze, jest cholernie zimno. Z gorących 36 stopni na Bali, teraz jest zimno 13 stopni w Melbourne. Potem dojeżdżamy w środku nocy i nic tu nie jeździ, z wyjątkiem taksówek, a taksówki są super drogie. I jest kolejny problem…wszystko tu jest po prostu super, mega, kiepskie, rażące, przesadnie drogie, tak drogie, że poważnie zadajemy sobie pytanie: „Cholera, co my tu robimy? Nie przetrwamy tego finansowo!” Myśleliśmy, że będzie tak drogo jak w RPA, ale jest dużo, dużo drożej. Nawet brudny hostel jest tu absurdalnie drogi. Z myślą o mega jetlagu i nowej karcie SIM w naszym telefonie komórkowym i po wielu badaniach doszliśmy do wniosku, że tak właśnie jest. Od początku podejrzewaliśmy, że w Australii będzie drogo, a teraz jesteśmy tutaj. Nowy pomysł: Wynajmujemy przyczepę kempingową i wszędzie jeździm. Ale potem kolejny hit: jest Wielkanoc i wszystko jest wyprzedane lub kosztuje cztery razy więcej. Ok, ok, ok... zachowaj spokój! Po pierwsze: zaakceptuj, że wszystko jest bardzo drogie, bo tak właśnie jest. A po drugie: jak najlepiej, bo jesteśmy na drugim końcu świata, w AUSTRALII... jakie to fajne?! Jednak jedna rzecz nas ekscytowała od samego początku, ludzie są tak niezwykle przyjaźni, że aż nie do uwierzenia. Jakoś nam się tu podob.

Fuck! After 5 months in Asia, it's nice to be back in the western world without making Asia bad, but it's direct... different... in many ways. First off, it's fucking cold. From the hot 36 degrees in Bali, it's now a cold 13 degrees in Melbourne. Then we arrive in the middle of the night and nothing drives here, except for taxis and taxis are super expensive. And there's the next problem...everything is just great here, mega, lousy, blatant, overly expensive, so expensive that we seriously ask ourselves: "Shit man, what are we doing here? We won't survive that financially!” We thought it would be about as expensive as in South Africa, but it's much, much more expensive. Even a filthy hostel is ridiculously expensive here. With mega jetlag in mind and a new SIM card in our cell phone and after a lot of research, we came to the conclusion that that's the way it is. We suspected from the start that it would be expensive in Australia and now we are here. New idea: we rent a caravan and drive everywhere ourselves and then the next hit: it's Easter and everything is sold out or costs four times as much. Fuck, fuck, fuck! Ok, ok, ok...stay calm! First: Accept that everything is super expensive, because that's the way it is. And secondly: make the best of it, because we are at the other end of the world, in AUSTRALIA... how cool is that?! However, one thing excited us from the start, the people are so extremely friendly that it is almost unbelievable. Somehow we like it here.Read more
