Saturday we had a beautiful drive from Arizona to Utah while traveling to Roam Springville RV Park in Springville, Utah, just south of Provo.
Sunday, Randy and I took a 3.5-hour bike ride utilizing Spanish Fork's paved bike paths. The path led to a pioneer cemetery, through fields, woods, along a stream, and to a city park.
Monday morning we played pickleball at one of Springville's city parks. As always, we met some nice people and got in some good play on their beautiful courts.
Monday afternoon we strolled around downtown Provo, then took a drive around the surrounding area before heading back to camp. The cities of Springville and Spanish Fork really value their park systems. They have enviable sports parks, fitness/activity centers, and playgrounds, not to mention some great multi-use paths.
Tuesday, we traveled north on I-15, then west on I-84, with views of the Snake River in Idaho, to the Boise Stage Stop for a night of boondocking. It was a busy truck stop with plenty of parking, a decent restaurant, and okay fuel prices.
Wednesday, we continued west on I-84 for another night of boondocking at Wildhorse Casino & Resort in Pendleton, Oregon. Again, there was plenty of parking and the "best" fuel prices since beginning our journey back to Oregon.
Thursday, we completed our trek home on I-84, following the Columbia River into the gorgeous Columbia River Gorge Scenic Byway.
We couldn't have asked for a better journey: new places to explore by foot, bike, and motorized vehicle; delicious food; nice people; and our home on wheels operating perfectly after six months in storage. The only negative was paying on average $5.55/gallon for diesel fuel 😣. Good thing we filled up our tanks at $3.19/gallon before storing it this past winter.
