As always, it was good to get back to the green landscape and cooler temperatures here in the Pacific Northwest.
Randy and I competed in a pickleball tournament at Hillendale Park. We didn't place but did have fun and enjoyed reuniting with our Oregon pickleball friends and consumed some delicious food at the potluck.
We've been playing a lot at Gradin Pickleball courts, which opened late last year. As much as we love playing at Hillendale, the 12-minute drive to Gradin sure beats a 40-minute commute to Hillendale.
I also played with some fellow Oregon snowbirds from Robson Ranch. Thanks, Marita, for hosting the fun get-together at your awesome indoor court.
Kelsie and Braden hosted a celebration for Randy's birthday and Father's Day. It was great getting together with the family. Randy received the new Nintendo Switch 2 from the kids. To say he was pleased would be a huge understatement.
Randy and I have been picking and freezing berries. So far, 63 lbs of blueberries and about 20 lbs of blackberries. 🫐😋
I've been busy combing Facebook Marketplace for furniture and accessories to furnish our home, both inside and out. We also unpacked many totes of personal items and art that had been in storage when we went on the road 11 years ago. I kept way more than I remembered!Read more
