July 26-August 4

Randy and I spent nine fun-filled, relaxing days at Neskowin RV Resort.
We played pickleball at Dorchester Park every other day, where we connected with players from years past and met new picklers as well.
Tuesday we visited the Sitka Sedge Natural Area. It was an easy four-mile hike through estuaries and forest to the beach. https://stateparks.oregon.gov/index.cfm?do=park…
Thursday we met our son, Kyle, in Taft for lunch, then strolled through town and to the beach.
Friday our friends, Angie and Jim, met us at Dorchester Park for a couple of hours of pickleball before enjoying lunch at Zeller's.
After a lazy, rainy Saturday morning, we rode our bikes around Neskowin, including the tsunami evacuation route. It was surely easier navigating the steep hill on our e-bikes!
After pickleball on Sunday, we hiked the Tsunami Evacuation trail behind the RV Resort. It was very lush, green, and mossy. Beautiful!
Yesterday, we drove south to Nye Beach, South Beach, and Newport for some biking, strolling, dining, and shopping. All in all, a great day.
As we made our way home today, it was hazy due to the smoke from the many wildfires here in the PNW. Our thoughts are with those affected by the fires.Read more
