Aug 17 – Oct 6 in the United States

We have had a relaxing six weeks transitioning from summer into fall. We took a late summer hike on the Sandy River trail, where there were still plenty of blooms. We are fortunate to have such a beautiful trail three miles from our home.
August 31st we celebrated my uncle, Dan Hinatsu's life with military honors at Willamette National Cemetery, followed by a reception at his home. The Hinatsu family did an outstanding job celebrating my uncle's long, interesting life and caring for him in his later years. https://obits.oregonlive.com/us/obituaries/oreg…
We continue to keep active playing pickleball three to four times a week at Gradin Community Sports Park. We also attended Hillendale's fall potluck and open play.
September 12th we celebrated September birthdays. Uncle Kay 93, Sharon 90 and, my baby, Kyle 38! Unbelievable, where did the years go?
We joined our friends Angie and Jim (pickleball mentors/friends) and Leslie and Chad (former neighbors and RVing buddies) for lunch. As always, it was great seeing Leslie during her annual visit to Oregon, but even greater seeing Chad, as he hadn't been back since their move to Florida six years ago.
October 3rd I celebrated my 71st trip around the sun with a fantastic morning of pickleball, taking in the Indigenous Arts Festival in Gresham follow by lunch at Nicholas. The next day Kyle brought over delicious Thai food from Pinto Thai in Sandy.
