• Lake Eyre Flight

    27 Ogos 2025, Australia ⋅ 🌬 15 °C

Today, we had the unique experience of taking a flight over Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre, Australia’s largest salt lake and the country's lowest point, lying 15 meters below sea level. This year, due to the floods to the north, the lake has filled to its highest level in over a century. The aerial views were absolutely breathtaking, with vibrant colours and intricate patterns stretching as far as the eye could see. We flew over the mysterious Marree Man, a 28km perimeter drawing etched into the ground.
Our little six-seater Cessna struggled with the turbulence, resulting in an unfortunate passenger in the front seat experiencing severe motion sickness. The smells from both ends were quite unpleasant, to say the least. Despite this, the extraordinary sights made the trip worthwhile.
