    Little sleep, Let’s go

    December 30, 2019 in the Netherlands ⋅ ⛅ 2 °C

After a very short night we’re on the road!! Excited! I’ve been to disneyland before but I don’t remember anything (except for that I bought a very yellow belle dress from beauty and the beast)
It’s currently 04:40 am and it feels like 7 or 8am. Don’t know if that’s a good thing or bad thing but we’ll see. We’re right now traveling by car to get to rotterdam central station, from there we’ll catch a train (6:58 am) to Marne-la-Valleé Chessy, which is the train station right beside disneyland and it only takes 3 hours.
I’m super excited for this short trip especially because we’ll be celebrating NYE in Disneyland. Can I just quickly say how surreal the fact of 2020 coming in only two days is?

Will update you later!! I’m going to enjoy my ride 😇

    Let the magic begin ✨

    Exploring Walt Disney Studios

    December 30, 2019 in France ⋅ 🌙 0 °C

    After a long day of exploring both disneyland and disneyland studios we finally have arrived at the hotel. Tired. Exhausted and really in the mood of some good sleeping. But here is a short summary of our day;

This morning we arrived at 10 am at marne-la- Valleé Chassy. We headed straight to the hotel to check in and drop off our luggage. At 11:30 am we went to the walt disney studio park. We discovered this smaller park (we catched the following attractions: Crush Coaster, Ratatouille and Slinky Dog) and had some dinner at 15:30 pm and after dinner we went for the disneyland park. Accidentally we stumbled across the ‘Disney star parade’ which was pretty cool to watch. After that we catched two more attractions (Pirates or the Caribbean and It’s a smal world) before we decided that we were too tired to wait for the firework show so we deceive to leave early and go back tomorrow morning with our ‘Extra Magic Time’. When we’re about to leave the park there was the christmas tree lighting shop happening at Main Street. Out of nowhere all the light went down with a loud noise, it was very scary but fun haha.

So right now we’re just lying on our bed and chill and we are definitely going to sleep in less than half an hour. Tomorrow is also a long and fun dat with the New Years Eve party ofcourse.

I really loved today, the lines are crazy and it’s super busy but all the attractions are worth the wait and definitely an experience. Also just walking around is an experience itself. Can’t wait to spend two more days in this magical place!! 😁

    Extra Magic Time

    December 31, 2019 in France ⋅ ⛅ -1 °C

We started this last day of the year just right; extra magic time. Because we’re staying in a Disney Hotel we could use the extra magic time. It basically means that you can enter the park one hour before the normal visitors. Which meant that all the big attractions were pretty quiet. We started off with peter pan’s flight which is one of the busiest but also one of my favorite attractions. After that we hopped into dumbo the flying elephant and got our self a fastpass for the big thunder mountain (rollercoaster).
Since a fastpass gives you fast acces on a later time on that day we went for phantom matter (haunted mansion), hyper space mountain and a toy story laser game. When we were waiting for hyperspace mountain some came up to us if we wanted to have their fastpasses for that exact time. So we hopped in and in less than 5 minutes we were inside of the attraction instead of waiting 50 min.
So at the time we used our other fastpass it was only 11:30 and we had more attractions than our first day. At this point it got really busy and we went for less popular attractions like a alice in wonderland maze, a train ride from Dombo, a boat ride through fairytales. We also saw the christmas parade which was amazing. After that we went back to our hotel (around 14:30) to chill only to come back at 17:00 to start the New Year Eve Party ✨

In the evening we also covered some less popular attractions like snow white, pinnochio, mad hatter’s tea cups and start tours. It was insanely busy during NYE but all the ‘main’ attractions were busy, the smaller ones were with lines of only 15 min waiting which was okay.

Peter Pan’s flight and hyperspace mountain were definitely my favorite of this day.

    Happy New Year

    January 1, 2020 in France ⋅ 🌙 -2 °C

Even though it feels like it’s still 2019 it’s really 2020 now. Here some pictures of how I enjoyed the New Years Eve Party. A lot of fireworks, parades and dancing (with DJ Afrojack right in front of the castle of sleeping beauty)!! It was great but also veeeeery cold and busy! Even though I was wearing 3 sweaters and a really warm jacket. Also my toes were like they were coming straight out of the movie frozen 😵.
Enjoy your first night of 2020!! 😁

    Tired

    January 1, 2020 in Belgium ⋅ ⛅ 1 °C

After a long day of walking (again, surprising isn’t it?) we’re finally sitting in the Thalys towards the Netherlands. Cold, tired but very happy. 😁

This morning we slept in for a bit. At 10:30 we arrived at the park and went straight for fastpasses for Peter Pan’s flight. Since we covered everything we wanted to do yesterday we could do what ever we want today with no stress about making it in time for the train.
We did Hyperspace mountain and It’s a small world again and peter pan with our fastpass. After that we went to the other park to meet Pluto. Which was amazing haha. We also did Ratatouille again which is also one of my favorites. After that we went back to Disneyland Park to do our final attraction: Pirates of the Caribbean.
We basically covered all of my favorite attractions today.
We also saw the Christmas parade and the sparkling winter waltz before heading to our dinner (at 15:30). After dinner we discovered Disney Village and went back to our hotel to get our baggage and went back to the train station to catch our train.
    And that’s it. 🤭

It was super cold (especially my feet and fingers) but it was definitely worth it. I had a magical ending/beginning of 2019/2020. Saw and experienced some crazy and amazing things. Sometimes we had to wait long or stand long but we hadn’t somewhere else to go so that was totally fine. I loved to watch all the performances.

I think I will see you again Disneyland ✨
