We were go at a temple and coffee plantation a the afternoon.
    Day16
We did the mont Bathur by ourself (Willem and me). One hour of scooter and 2h by walk.
Just fez people do it by theriself. The local mafia try to control the Mon Bathur. They suggest to take a guide but it's REALLY to go by ourself ... nothing is complicated.

    Day 17-18-19- Canggu

    July 2, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ 🌧 27 °C

We were at Canggu at 5p.m
Just the time to go the beach and enjoy the sunset.
Canggu it's a popular touristic city. Thé beach was full.
I join the guy to eat a burger. (I just follow)
    Day 18
I would like to go the beach to surf, but I slept....
I enjoy at the hostel of Largot.
We were in a techno party. It's was pretty cool.
In a bit expensive. It was so funny some people were surprise about my age 😇.
Little thought, for the beautiful Indonesian come talk to me. I don't took his Instagram....
    Day 19

    Day 20 -21 Uluwatu

    July 2, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ 🌧 28 °C

My last moment in Canggu, I enjoyed the beach with some clouds.
I listened music on the beach, thought about all the things in my head.
I discussed a bit with an Indonesian. He tried to sold me some jewelry. Obviously I wasn't interested.
This is on e the thing I hate in Asia, you can't be quiet. If you are alone, someone come to you to try to sell somethings.
We took a Grab (uber) with Largot to go to Uluwatu.
Every hostel was completely booked or really expensive, so we decided to take a room.
The worst room that I took in my life I think.
The room was crypsy. In this room there was two simples beds and a miroir. That's all.
The mirror wasn't in a good place, and the switch was on the deep of the room. So stupid. The bathroom was soooo dirty. Fuck.
Just on the way for the dinner, I felt sick. I wanted to vomir. I couldn't eat anything.
I was sick, poison food I think.
The next day, we have planned to surf, but I felt no good. I was angry 😠. Fuck poison food. I slept on the beach, and the evening I slept early.
To go to this beach, the way was funny (1st picture). The beach was nice, but .... not free ....)
Next day we lived early on the morning.
So, I didn't enjoy Uluwatu... I don't recommend. It's like like a new city so isn't really authentic, not really beautiful, all is expensive.
But my point of view is not reliable because I stayed just one day 2 nights...
(Sorry I didn't take a lot of photos...)

    Day 22 - Kuta (Lombok)

    July 3, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

We woke up early (6 am) . In travel, we usually to be wake up early, to prepare ours bags quickly, go out without breakfast, without coffe. Usually I can't ! When I m in France I have to have 1 hour to be ready , and at leat a big coffee.
I felt better than yesterday night.
We didn't booked any boat ticket. We would like to try to have ferry boat, and to have the local price.
Surprise, when we arrived at the port, we understood that the ferry was further. Here we could take only the "fast boat" (not really faster than the ferry... but more expensive).
So we didn't have the choice. We took a ticket there. I paid (500k RP, 30€.... for Indonesia it's really expensive).
Largot planned to go in Nusa Penida (small island close to Bali) before Lombok.
Personally, I wanted just leave Bali. So I took a ferry for Lombok directly.
    I love to take ferry.
Jan Willem (the second Dutch Guy) was on the way for Nusa Penida to Lombok too.
So, we met together at Bangsal (port of Lombok) to share the Taxi to Kuta.
Jan Willem negociated the price. We paid 275RP at all against 500RP at start.
We didn't took the same hostel.
As per usual, the first thing I did, I put my bag and I enjoyed the sunset on the beach. Finally, a place with more local than tourist. It wasn't a pretty beach but more authentic.
I walked on the smalls paths. the Indonesians were eating. I could ''observe'' their daily lives. They have little privacy. The houses face directly onto the street.
The childreen and teennagers played at foot.
    The sunset was nice.
Finally, I found the authenticity of Indonesian life that I had not been able to observe in Bali. ( Fuck Bali)
When I went back at the hostel, I did the BBQ organized by the hostel. I met a new Dutch and two french. I was tired, them too. We went to bed not too late.

    23-24 Days : Kuta (Lombok)

    July 4, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

    I woke up at 7 a.m
I had booked a lesson of surf. It was soooo good. I want to surf well. It's one of my new target. I been stand up a couple of times. But just once I stay stand up few seconds on the board.
To be honest, the coachs wasn't so good. The only thing they say was " try to be stand up". But they didn't explain what I missed. Like, if it's because my foot are not ont he good position or because I took the wave too early...
So I think I have to take a new lesson but with a better coach.
(I took a sunburn on my ass 😅)
After that I met Jan Willem. He explained to me that the guy on his hostel were pretentious, and not opened minded. For example a girl complained because the Indonesians ask to take picture.. 🤦‍♀️ girl, you are an other country you have to be open with the host country.
They don't do this for bads things. Just a puccie.
We went go at a beach. I was still tired (still sick I thing ...) some Indonesians ask us pictures.
Back to the hostel. I took my shower, and I directly slept. So tired. I didn't have any energies. Fuck poison food 🖕

    Day 25-26-27 : Kuta (Lombok)

    July 9, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

    Day 25 :
I didn't do anything but I spent lot of money, in cause of the fucking VISA.
I wanted to stay more long time in Indonesia, so I extended my visa.
If you have a e-visa it's really easy and just 5€. But if you are stupid like me, and you did a visa at the airport you have to paid 30€ if you to extend your visa by yourself. The problem is, when you do it by yourself you have to be 3 times at the visa office (to be honest I think it's just bullshit...) so to be tranquil, I paid a guy to do it for me. It was 1.200.000RP (80€) . I have to go just once .The office VISA is at 1h by car. I don't drive motobike. I paid 350k RP (23€) to and back.
And finally, in the VISA office, you have to be covered. I didn't know. So I paid 40kRP (2,7€) to rent a tissue....
My extend visa cost me 105 fucking euros.... 😒
The worst, the guy propose to me to pay 150k RP to have my VISA now and don't wait one week more....
Actually, all it's understood control of the Mafia. It's not really the government.
So Tips, if you want to go in Indonesia, do your passeport in internet....

OK the few next days were quiet.

The Next day we were in a beach close to Kuta. The beach was pretty. I have no lot of thing to talk about this day.
After we back to back to the hostel I met 3 engineer from New Zélande.
They were so kind. I the beginning when they introduced themselves, I understood they from Neerland... fuck off...
My understanding english is improving but not perfect 🥲

(The dog 🥰 , I asked if I could stole it, but his maistress replied no 😒)

At night we were go to party. I didn't drink alcool 😇

Next day, I just chilled and relaxed before the rijani tour. I bought a bag to do it (not the best bag to hike..)
    I felt better.

    Day 29-31 :

    The food was good.
    The team was perfect.
The view and landscape was insane.

    Day 32-37 : Gili Menos

    July 13, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ ☁️ 29 °C

Gili Menos is the quitter island of Gili.
It's like a village on an island.
To be honest it's quickly to say what I did there:
    - Relax
    - Snorkling (I don't see turtles 😤, the spot is amazing)
    - Eat Lot of Smothie bowl and Crêpe
    - Enjoy the sunset

I was with my favorite italien guy "Picolo Fabio''.
(Picolo : Petit ; nana : Nain en italien. Fabio m'appellait Picola Nana, ce qui veut dire petite naine en Italien)
We were in a answome hostel.
The owner is french. I talked a lot with him About is life in Gili. He is an interesting guy but not a good person.

By the way, I love this hostel, maybe my favorite one.
    It was so friendly.
All of the people was so nice.

(I don't remember which night) : I was looking for something to eat (at 21h) but all was empty. On the way an english guy call me, and invite me to take something to drink with them (him and a couple of Australian and an americain). I sit down at the table and order to eat then I took a honey moon cocktail. It's was a pretty good night. We finish to sing and dance at five on the "beach pub".
The guy work in marketing in Bali and propose to me a job. Obviously I was just drunk. 🤣

Oh yes I fall sick in Gili ... so I spend a couple of day at the hostel to do nothing... My body is completly out.

    Day 38-39-40: Komodo Tour

    July 22, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

    Komodo Tour.
The Konodo Tour is quiet famous in Indonesia. The most of backpacker traveller do it.
It's a Cruz of 4 days 3 Night from Lombok to Flores.
The Cruz is a big word ... in realty the boat was not really comfortable. But it was so cool. The team on the boat was pretty nice. We had a good mood in this boat. (To compare the other boat oupsy)
We stopped at some point for sunset or to do Snorkling.
The second day, we were wake up at 6 a.m, and 10 min after we swum with shark. So crazy.
    Snorkling was so amazing.
At the end of day, the sea was pretty exited. Lot of people was seasick.
I wasn't because I was already sick ... something like a flu. Be at early.
The third day, we were on the Komodo National Park. We saw the Dragon of komodo. Personally I was a bit disappointed about the tour. It was just 30 min. The guides was funny.
The last day, we did snorkling and we enjoy an island.

It was a good experience. After the tour, the most of the people has been on the same hostel. And we were on a party.

(I m better now but not at 100% . I don't know why, but I don't know one person that s not fall sick in Indonesia. That's crazy. All our stomach are not happy)

So let's go to enjoy Flores !

  • Day 45

    Day 40-44 : Flores

    July 27, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

I planned to visit Flores. The problem it's I can't drive scotter. I mean, I can, but I m not really confidente with a scotter. So I changed my plan.
(When I back to France, (if I back to France, I want to pass my motobike licence driver !!!)
I will come back to Indonesia for sure.

    Day 41 :
Lot of us were hang over. (Not me, I didn't drink a lot). It was so cool.plicated to find scotter for all of us. So we leaved the hostel so late. We visited a typical flores Indonesian village.

    Day 42 :
I was at gym with 3 others guys of the group. I did so exercise with Max (upper body). And then, we sere go at the cave.

    Day 43:
Again, we were at the gym with Max. It was so nice. (Lower body). I teach him "overhead lungees".
Lot of people leaved this day.
The afternoon, I was with Robbie, allias James Bond (He is english, has the eyes of James bomb and he so fucking mysterious) ahah
We were at a waterfall together. It was nice. He is one of rare English who speak an other language. He is fluent in French. So we talk in French together, sometimes we switch in English. That's funny.
I'm really happy my english improve everyday.

By the way, he said to me " tu sais je ne suis pas vraiment attiré par les pieds, mais je dois dire que tu as de très beaux pieds " Et Bam les rageux !🤌

    Day 44 :
We were in a private island with an other group.

It' so strange, Jan Willem and Largo will back to home. So I won't see them again in travelling. Maybe in Europe. I don't know, these last tree days I say goodbye at lot of people. I mean, In Indonesia, I was never alone. During all my travel I was with the same person. Not all the time, but I know them since 6-7 weeks. It's not a lot but when your are in travel, all the emotions are decoupled.
I m not sad. But it's like I feel alone.

So will go back to Dempasar today (day 45) I will be with Fabio. He will leave the 29 to go to Australia.
