Ta Van Village

Still walking now we re in Ta Van which is 10 kilometres from Sapa. Ta Van is a village of Lao Cai province and is still in Muong Hoa Valley. Residents are mainly the H'Mong, Giay, and Red Dao.

Ta Van people's customs and characteristic are similar of the Giay in Lao Cai. They live together at the base of mountains and along streams. Growing rice is the major occupation of the Giay, they also produce instruments and engraved silver.Read more
