Flamingo Campground

The campground is at the far southern part of the Everglades and you have to drive all the way to homestead to get to the road to take you there. Was a long day of driving and then exploring at Shark Valley so just headed to campground to setup camp before Dark. Got their around 5:00 so had about 3 hours. Set up camp and then went exploring around the campground on the bike. Brought plenty of Mosquito repellent and strong stuff but the mosquitoes, no seeums and flies were bad around the campground, always buzzing around you. If you were on the road or outside the campground wasn't to bad. After exploring and planning out tomorrow went back and made dinner, read a book for a bit until sun set then into the tent to avoid bugs and read some more until i fell asleep.Læs mere
