Recovery & Buffet

Due to the long day picking up the car, we took it really easy today. A steak lunch courtesy of WalMart before an afternoon Cosmopolitan or two.

Neither of us could decide what we fancied for dinner so we choose the typically Vegas-style Buffet at Caesar's Palace.

We both came away completely unimpressed. For $60 EACH - a glut of mediocre, over-salted dishes with a herd of greedy tourists, looking to ram as much food down their necks as possible. The whole experience left a bitter taste in my mouth considering the money.

When I visited Vegas 20 years, we went to the buffet at Circus Circus, and I remember it being amazing for trying so many different foods, taking a little bit of whatever we fancied. Tonight it just felt like the regular: pizza stand, Chinese stand, pasta stand... Just total food carnage.

Food aside,we had a good day we have booked tickets to go and see 'Love' by Cirque Du Soleil at The Mirage. This has been recommended to us by several friends for the music and production aspects.
