    On the road again

    18 maja 2021, Australia ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

Said our goodbyes to Tim & Jane & the ladies & headed back up the Stuart Hw. It was a really good time there and hopefully they were encouraged as much as we were. Dropped in to the Centrelink/ council office to get some forms verified & caught up with a white lady who we met last time. She has just been hit by the Holy Spirit & is like a sponge sucking up everything she can find & asking so many questions. She thought it was Devine providence that we arrived when we did. She came down to the river with us all a couple of times. Keep praying that the seed has landed on the good soil. Found a pleasant spot to camp on a river at Edith. Not sure if there are crocs , apparently they have cleared them from the springs in Katherine 50 k further south. Checked out Pine Creek & the museum- talkative local attendant. 3000 Chinese were bought in to mine for gold & build the rail line in the late 1800s. Camping by a crystal clear stream, flowing over rocks, even I went for a dip. Grass under foot and no burrs or red dust. Angela is planning to spend the next couple of days on her assignment. Discovered that the electrical plug to our fridge had half melted, loose connection I guess. Fortunately I had packed a soldering iron, not usual, & was able to make a temporary fix. Cold beer is still on the menu. Walked along the stream up to the waterfall- very pleasant. Darwin will be our next stop for a couple of days. Will try to meet up with Angela’s niece Rhianna.
