I spent a lazy day looking out over the water mostly while Angela spent looking at the laptops -mostly. A few more questions to answer by Thursday. Greg & Rachel live 100 metres from the waters edge in the uniting church manse, unfortunately swimming is not advised, still it is very scenic & the waves lapping on the shore is nice to go to sleep to. It’s a nice view from our camper and some evenings the sunsets are amazing. Went looking for some automotive wire at the shop but none suitable. The dump came to the rescue. Had a bbq at Rocky point this evening. There’s a sort of large rockpool where water flows over a rocky wall at high tide. Apparently it’s ok to swim there, I guess you can see any crocs climbing over the rocks and have time to make a dash for the shore. We just enjoyed sitting on the beach eating our dinner. A team of MMM are coming here in Aug to fill in a space under the house into a bedroom and small living area. The uniting church bush paster had lined up someone to work out a we found out that materials list for the job but he was too busy so I spent some hours drawing up a plan and trying to estimate quantities of materials required. Hope it works out. It’s a long way to go for more nails. Had a great time with Greg and Rachel and the kids. Meike can talk under water. Low tige at Cahills Crossing was 8:30am so we packed up early to make it. Later we found out that we had til 3, so plenty of time. The river crossings had dropped a lot from the time we drove in. Vets visited during the week and desexed more than 200 cats and dogs just on the back of their Ute tray- no charge. Lots of wobbly animals walking around for a couple of hours. A barge brings everything to town, the road is is not suitable for trucks.Baca lagi
