    Arthurs Pass

    February 12 in New Zealand ⋅ ☁️ 13 °C

5 hours in the car to get here. So worthwhile. As usual, the scenery was amazing. You knew the minute that you drove out of Marlborough, as while you were there, every field was full of grape vines, and you were constantly driving past vineyards.
The roads were long and empty. Some small towns and villages with a few houses.
We stopped at Buller Gorge and walked along the longest swing bridge in New Zealand, and then walked through the woods.
Stopped in Reefton for a coffee. This area was known for gold mining. It's a bit like driving onto a small town in a Western movie.
Arrived at Arthur's Pass late afternoon. It's absolutely stunning. Walked up the Devils Punchbowl trail. Beautiful walk up through the woods to view the waterfall. Definitely cleared the cobwebs.
Saw 2 kea's on the way back.
    We move on tomorrow
