Woke up before the 7 AM alarm, got ready and wandered around La Mariscal looking for breakfast. All were closed, so we came back to the hotel for complimentary breakfast buffet which was huge! Myron tried guanoabana juice and loved it.

Caught the HoHo bus in front of our hotel and spent the morning and early afternoon exploring Old Town and Panecillo. We stopped for empanadas for lunch from a street vendor. Debarked at La Mariscal and wandered around, had beers for happy hour and hot chocolate at Kallari. A thunderstorm came rolling in and we made it back to the hotel as hail and lightening moved in!

At 5PM, we met our G Adventures group in the lobby and had a welcome meeting with our CEO to go over logistics of tomorrow. He recommended Uncle Ho's for dinner. Food was good. We shared two entrees: Coastal Ecuadorian (sea bass, coconut milk served over rice) and Andean (potato cake, sausage, avocado and fried egg with pickled veg salad). Had a free welcome drink in the lobby of the hotel and into bed at 9PM. Both of us got sunburned.Baca selengkapnya
