    San Cristobal, Galapagos Islands

    August 9, 2013 in Ecuador ⋅ ⛅ 68 °F

Early morning at 5AM we repacked and got ready for our flight to San Cristobal.

Breakfast was a repeat of the hotel breakfast (awesome). By 7AM, we were picked up by our ride to the airport. Flew Aerogal to Guayaquil, stayed on the plane and continued flight to San Cristobal. Airport in San Cristobal was interesting. An outdoor hangar with a makeshift customs area. We met our naturalist Pedro Rojillio, where he corralled us and brought us to the San Jose. After a brief introduction to the yacht, we had lunch (tuna), met the other 6 in our group and headed to shore to visit the Galapagos Interpretation Center where we learned about the history of the islands.

After a quick tour, we returned to the town and spent the rest of the afternoon shopping. Got a few pieces of art and some patches. We returned to the boat at 6PM, went through tomorrow's plan and had dinner (chicken and black bean enchiladas). We taked the rest of the night with the group.
