Great Sand Dunes National Park!

Balcony House, Mesa Verde National Park

First stop in Mesa Verde was at the park Museum to get tickets to the Balcony House tour. We learned that it is possible to take Patrick on the tour as long as he could crawl through the tunnels onWeiterlesen
Cliff Palace, Mesa Verde National Park

Our second tour of the day was to Cliff Palace. Gus and Patrick took this one off to enjoy naptime in the camper. Maddie, Gordie and Sarah went down into the cliffs again to see Mesa Verde's premierWeiterlesen

Spruce Tree, Mesa Verde

Took a 1/4 mile walk down to the Sprice Tree dwelling. This is the best preserved site in the park and its easy to see why as it is nestled in a fertile valley. We were able to go down into aWeiterlesen
Four Corners Monument

Huge tourist attraction, minimal excitement, lots of mud, but a nice quick spot to stretch your legs. Had to pay per person to get in. Good thing Maddie was hiding in the top bunk!

Super excited to be heading your way, Grand Canyon! Passed through Ute, Anasazi, Navajo and Hopi land. Gorgeous!!!

Grand Canyon IMAX

Headed south this morning to watch the IMAX movie depicting the 4,000 year history of the canyon in 35 minutes. We all LOVED it! Thanks for the suggestion, Grampy Carpenter!
