Chamberlain lookout, Tathra

Overlooking the coastal inlet from a reasonable height, this vantage offered views along the interesting coastline.
Bermagui flora and fauna reserve.

One of the many wetlands areas we have found. Not quite as many birds here but still a nicely laid out walk. It could do with a bit more signage as part is a bit unclear of the actual track.
Moorhead Beach, Bermagui.

Definitely one of the more interesting places to visit. The sand, pebbles and shells ponded by some of the most impressive waves one will see.
Barmagui Sculptures, Dickinson Park

Probably the most interesting from my point of view was the highly animated work of a teenage artist Portia Terlich. Named "Weeping World", this piece represents the choices we make every single dayRead more
Food on the Road.

Just because one is on the road there is no need to forego good food. Generally there are good opportunities to be creative when planning and preparing meals. Sometimes there are things that areRead more
Barmagui art, drumming and fireworks.

Sometimes, you just happen to be in the right place at the right time. We spent the afternoon walking around a nice wetland area. On the way back we found an interesting display of artworks. Dozens ofRead more
Wilton Park.

This spot is a nice place to camp. There is quite a bit of bird life and we are (surprise surprise) camped by a small dam. A magpie visits quite often obviously hoping we will come good with somethingRead more

This vantage point let's you look north towards Bermagui. The very low bollards and rails are a suggestion to keep away from the very long drop over the cliff. Through the fence is an interesting landRead more

We are here waiting for the sunset. Flotillas of birds are bobbing around on the seaward side of the lake, but that is not the direction of the sunset. We will have a nice view of the setting sunRead more
Cowdroys Beach

An epic 4WD track most of the way in with a walk down the closed part of the track. I don't think we would easily get up this with our vehicle anyway.

Gillard Beach

We took the dirt road in here and we're rewarded with a nice beach. The sand is quite yellow and is squeaky sand. When you walk on the dry sand it makes quite a loud noise. At the northern end is someRead more
Bournda National Park.

This is quite a nice place. There are several areas to visit around the lake. Some picnic day use areas and further around a huge camping area. There are some walks and water activities on the lake.
Mogareeka Inlet

Just a bit north of Tathra, this is where the road crosses over the Bega River where it widens out just before exiting to the ocean. A huge sand bar has just a small opening. Quite pretty views and aRead more
Narooma

Quite a lot to see here but we will not be here long. As we have discovered the coast here is quite beautiful. The cliffs rising up and further on nice sandy beaches.

Near Narooma, NSW.
Duesbury Beach and headland

Nice yellow sandy beach as we head north of Narooma. Quite large wave that we would never see at home.

Tuross head has some amazing coastline. There's a massive inlet to a large lake system to be north and a river to the south. The river runs out around a massive sand bank that sometimes gets removedRead more

On the Burrewarra Point walk, not far along the track is an interesting bunker noted on the entry sign as WW2.. Quite hidden among the bush I can only wonder what it's purpose was. It is not in aRead more
