    Coober Pedy

    September 18, 2018 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 14 °C

Today we drove 4 hours. And so far we have driven 1760 km. We stopped at a town called Williams Creek, it has the smallest population in Australia. We arrived at Coober Pedy, we are staying in an underground campsite. But we are above because our tent is too big, but it's very windy. We also did a tour at our campsite because it's part of an old opal mine. We learnt how to find opals, the technique's and tools, it was very facinating, our tour guide made a lot of jokes. After we went to the center of the town and went to the pub, Felix ordered a berry smoothie. But I did not under stand why it came in plastic cup, lid,and straw when we are staying in the pub. It was point less really, and it was like we were in America because the small was very big. Tommorow we are going to look round Coober pedy. And when we hit the road we will not be on dirt road any more, it will be tarmac, finally!Read more
