This afternoon we headed down to Bournville to see Cadbury world.
Luckily we pre booked as it was sold out for walk ins. Upon arrival we had some lunch in the cafe while we waited for our tour time slot.

With a rest this afternoon, we decided to have pizza for dinner. Found the local dominoes and brought it back to the hotel to eat and watch some tv.

Robin Hood and his merry men

Off to Nottingham this morning to check out the castle and to see the Robin Hood statue. We had a lovely cheeseboard for lunch to share at the castle and then took a walk around the city.

Aunty Ivy

Around lunch time, we picked up Sheila to head down to Reddich, to meet with some cousins, then head to the care home to see Aunty Ivy.
All 8 of use sat around and talked about family and what we had been doing.
Ivy is a lovely lady, she may be blind and hard of hearing, but she is the sweetest and still cracks jokes.
I’m very blessed to have been able to see her again.
After visiting Ivy, we headed back to Debs (dads cousin) for dinner.

With a slow start to the day, we headed down to Kettering from our hotel, (about an 15 mins up the road in Corby) to meet up with Dads sister Sheila (Jean) and Mike (her husband). With lots of pictures and stories shared, we decided to head out for dinner at the local pub. It was a nice relaxing day after 3 big days of driving.En savoir plus

After arriving in Keswisk, checking in to the hotel and some dinner, it was time for sleep.
In the morning, we had to do some washing at the local laundrette. With clean clothes, we dropped them off at the car and heading into the town centre to have a look around.
With a short walk to the lake we took a walk only the path that ran beside it.En savoir plus

From Glenfinnin, we drove though the valleys surrounded by mountains, so we had to stop to take some pictures and a video. It was breathtaking.

After Urquhart Castle, we headed down to Glenfinnin to check out the viaduct. This was use to film the train scene in the Harry Potter movies 2 and 3. We were also lucky enough to see the train passing over.En savoir plus

With a quick look around the village, it was time to head off, about 20 mins out Drumnadrochit was Urquhart castle. This is where I tried to find the Loch Ness Monster.
