Anzin-Saint-Aubin, France

Today we made a special point of visiting the small village of Anzin-Saint-Aubin as 100 years ago to the day, Doug's Great Grandfather was in this exact same village serving as a soldier in WW1. What a special occurrence!
Although not able to pin point exactly where in the village they were billeted, we did see the church he attended. We also tried to see the river they swam in while they were here but it now runs through the middle of a golf course.Weiterlesen
